When was Datawrapper created?

The idea for Datawrapper came about in 2012 when a journalist named Mirko Lorenz teamed up with developer Gregor Aisch. Mirko was doing a lot of data training and didn’t have an easy way to develop charts, graphs and maps. So that’s how it began.

Simply click on Publish now: After clicking on Publish now, Datawrapper will take a second or two to prepare your chart for publication.

How do I upload a map to Datawrapper?

In Datawrapper, click on “New Map”, then choose the map type you want to create. Then select your map file by clicking on the “Upload Map” button. Once uploaded, the map will appear in the preview on the right side.
